Parashurama
The Divine Story
Lord Parashurama, the sixth avatar of Vishnu, celebrated in the Kalki Purana as the 'Brahma-Kshatriya' warrior-sage. The Bhagavata Purana honors him as the divine destroyer of corrupt kings and establisher of dharmic order.
First Manifestation
Parashurama manifested in Treta Yuga as described in the Puranas, born to sage Jamadagni to restore dharma by destroying corrupt rulers and establishing righteous governance.
Divine Purpose
To destroy corrupt and oppressive rulers, restore the balance between spiritual and temporal power, protect sages and innocents from tyranny, and establish that righteousness must govern worldly authority.
Spiritual Significance
In various Puranas, Parashurama represents 'Krodha-dharma' (righteous anger) against injustice. He embodies the principle that divine force manifests to destroy adharma when other means fail.
