The Divine Story
Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Vishnu, hailed in the Ramayana as 'Maryada Purushottam' (the perfect man), embodies dharma and righteousness. The Rama Gita declares him as the ideal king and the supreme reality in human form.
First Manifestation
Rama manifested in Treta Yuga, as described in the Valmiki Ramayana, born in Ayodhya on Navami tithi of Chaitra Shukla Paksha to restore dharma and destroy adharma.
Divine Purpose
To establish the ideals of dharmic living, demonstrate perfect human conduct in all relationships, destroy evil forces like Ravana, and guide humanity toward righteous governance and spiritual values.
Spiritual Significance
In the Adhyatma Ramayana, Rama represents 'Maryada-dharma' (righteous conduct). As described in various Puranas, he exemplifies the perfect son, husband, king, and devotee, showing the path of dharma in human relationships.
